Mariela Garcia Luna was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Mariela received her Bachelors in Sociology with a minor in Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
As an undergraduate student, she had the opportunity to lobby for criminal justice reform in Washington, DC and facilitated programs for youth inside juvenile detention centers.
This unique experience led Ms. Garcia Luna to form close connections with families and learn about many of the underlying issues that affect our communities on a day-to-day basis. She noticed the numerous injustices in the workplace faced by the community and transitioned her interest to employment law. Mariela is determined to continue to uplift and empower as many people as she can, no matter the background or circumstance.
In her free time, Mariela enjoys spending time with her family, watching and playing basketball. She also loves arts and crafts.
