WORKPLACE CIVIL RIGHTS

In California, civil rights in the workplace are codified on the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), which prohibits employers of five or more employees to discriminate against job applicants and employees based on their race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, creed, age (over 40), disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, or military/veteran status. FEHA also prohibits workplace harassment for any of these categories, as well as retaliation for complaining about perceived unlawful harassment and discrimination. The Law Offices of Kyle Todd fights for these important workplace civil rights, holding employers accountable to FEHA’s mandates.
