Civil Rights Details

A civil right is considered as an enforceable privilege or right which when interfered with another will lead to severe actions. Some of the civil rights examples are freedom of press, speech, voting right and the freedom to choose their religion. The overview of civil rights intimates, that there are ten titles under it. Most of which are concerned about the discrimination. These civil rights also check out the qualification of citizenship.  This civil right also prohibits the discrimination of people in motels, theatres, restaurants, hotels and other public place or accommodation. This law also prohibits the municipal and state governments from refusing the access to common facilities on the basis of ethnicity, race, color and religion. This act encourages the integration of public education center. It also prevents the discrimination for getting federal funding from government agencies.

 

The overview of civil rights also prevents and prohibits the discrimination of any individual based on religion, color, national origin or race for any cause. Sexual harassment complaints can also be filed under this act. It also provides some exemptions of discrimination with a valid and agreeable reason or trait. This law prohibits the act of housing discrimination. Discrimination in recruitment based on color or race or national origin or religion without any proper or valid reason is punishable under this act. The affected or discriminated person should file the complaint within 300 days of that particular discrimination otherwise he will lose his right of filing the lawsuit against it. This law allows an individual to follow or take off any religions based on his belief on that particular religion. This law prevents the individual rights and freedom. This law was mainly developed and signed to prevent the discrimination and segregation.
